This study allows us to make a functional assessment of the behavior of the foot and of the entire lower limb. Consists of:
- Evaluation of static parameters
- Assessment of movement parameters (arthrokinematic parameters)
- Valuation of plantar pressures (Baropodometry), both statically and dynamically
TAILOR-MADE SUPPORTS : Creation of individualized plantar supports (insoles), all custom-made. We work with different densities of material, depending on the needs of each foot or area of the same foot.
SILICONE ORTHESIS : If there is any type of digital misalignment, with respect to normal parameters, the application of these devices can, depending on the case, be a good solution both for pain and for the prevention of future deformity ( improvement of functional aspects).
DERMAL AFFECTIONS OF THE FOOT : These can occur both in the skin and in the nail. There are 3 types:
- Infectious conditions: Among which, we have bacterial, fungal and viral ones
- Affections of systemic origin: These are those manifestations that occur on the skin as a result of suffering from a systemic disease.
- Affections of mechanical origin: They are the most common on the foot and are related to the different forces to which it is subjected (shoes, ground…). Within this group there are different types.
NAIL SURGERY : Onychocryptosis or “ingrown toenail” is one of the most common podiatric conditions. Surgery is the procedure of choice in severe or recurrent cases. It consists in the partial or total removal of the nail plate and its matrix, thus avoiding damage to periungual structures.
CHIROPODY : It is the most common therapeutic procedure in podiatry. It consists in the elimination of dermal conditions (usually of mechanical origin) both of the skin and of the nails, with the aim of improving pain, functionality and possible complications that these may cause.
PHYSIOTHERAPY OF THE LOWER EXTREMITY : The treatment of conditions of mechanical origin of the lower extremity is not only limited to treatment with plantar supports (insoles). Physiotherapy techniques exist, which can help resolve these painful processes. Within these techniques we can find both manual therapy (mobilization, stretching and massage) and the performance of exercises aimed at improving functional aspects related to pain.
